While doing some modeling at the age of 18, I became interested with photography. Fashion photogs would let me watch them develop my pics in the darkroom and I was fascinated. I began to go along on other shoots with them... helping other models with posing and assisting in general. It wasn't long before I bought my first camera and began practicing shooting on my own.
Starting out on a Leica film camera 12 years ago... my passion for photography soon led to photojournalism. In college I received an Associate Degree in Radiography and a Bachelor's in Photojournalism. So, for awhile, I took photos of people...
inside and out. :) I studied photography abroad in Europe and had work in several art galleries by the time I finished my degree.
I was working as a freelance photographer for a modeling agency when I decided to start my own portrait business, Urban Photography. I photograph mostly newborns, kids and seniors. (along with a little bit of everything else... just for me.)
