The professor who hates to grade, Cindy left her position as a professor of photojournalism after 10 years in the classroom to follow her dream. She loves to play with her dogs, pet her cats, hike and of course .... take photographs.
Before becoming a professor, Cindy worked at major newspapers including the St. Petersburg Times and the Indianapolis Star. Her list of international awards includes Pictures of the Year International, the Southern Short Course, Wedding Photojournalist Association, the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar and the Women in Photojournalism Conference.
Now, with her Masters of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Cindy uses her life experiences as an Atlanta wedding photojournalist and a workshop leader.
In addition to facilitating fine-art photography workshops, Cindy combines her interest in photography and
spirituality by facilitating workshops exploring the intersection of the
two disciplines.
