My interest in photography began as a flight
attendant, taking photos of all the exotic destinations I was flying to
on layover. My passion for photography grew as I challenged myself to
take photos like the pros. As my thirst for knowledge grew, I decided
to attend the Colorado Institute of Art 1985 – 1987.
Upon completion of school I accepted a full time position in Los
Angeles to gain some professional experience as an assistant
photographer. For the next five years I worked with product, fashion,
car, architectural and CD cover photographers advertising on a national
basis. I worked on assignments that included of celebrities such as
Cameron Diaz, Will Smith,
Ice Cube and Warrant. The invaluable experience of working with these
true professionals helped in the understanding of how to control light
on location and in the studio.
My first shooting position was in Los Angeles as a freelance
photographer for the Broadway shooting high volume catalog work. My
clients included J.C.Penny , Sears, Robinson’s May and Dillard’s in an
in house studio in Dallas, Texas. I discovered my real interest lay in
fashion. I was photographing models for several modeling agencies in
Los Angeles and Denver shooting 80-120 models a month for portfolios.
As my interest has turned to boudoir photography the experience working
with of high fashion and models has improved my style in boudoir photography as well. My style is romantic, soft, and alluring. I am able to capture the essence of a woman's sensuality through the subtle feminine nuances that are unique to her personality. When I shoot, I try to make the experience playful and provocative to bring out each woman's inner passion.
