Ellin Pollachek Bio:

Making images on location is my specialty. Whether it's the power of place, people or formal events the beauty of being on location is in capturing the moment. It's photojournalism at its best.

I received my first camera when I was 8 years old. I studied photography at The School of Visual Arts, International Center for Photography and the Maine Photographic Workshops. I earned a PhD in Photography and Literature at New York University.

My work has appeared in numerous travel publications, Modern Bride and international publications.  Galleries who have shown my work are Deborah Davis Fine Arts, Grey Gallery, NYU Barney Building Gallery, University of Binghampton Gallery,

In addition to taking groups of photographers around Manhattan I have led groups in India and Nepal.

Ellin Pollachek has documented the cultures of Nepal, India, Israel and Sri Lanka. Ellin has led photography groups through India & Manhattan. Her landscapes & environmental portraits have been been shown in galleries throughout New York.
