Stay Up to Date with This Host's Events:
Successful Fashion Photographer Gary Trantafil recently moved to Naples
from Chicago and I snatched him up to teach us an intermediate to
advanced fashion lighting and posing class!!!
Sunday, March 20, 2011
12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Early registration: $129.00 through March 10
Regular price: $149 March 11 through 20
PLEASE register only if you have a working knowledge of shooting your camera in the manual setting.
This is a hands-on class where you will have plenty of time to
photograph using Gary's expensive equipment! You will leave with new
knowledge of specific equipment to the fashion and modeling industries,
and some gorgeous new images for your portfolio!
We'll start with
a ring light. Gary will demonstrate its use, explain what it is used
for and why, how to set it up and explain how to use it using a model so
you can watch it in use. Then we'll take turns using the ring light
with our own cameras.
The next piece of equipment we will learn
about is the Beauty Dish. Why use it, when to use it and how to use
it. Everyone will have ample time to practice with the Beauty Dish.
We'll move on to the Octobox modifier. Gary will help us understand why we would use this huge modifier!
Gary is bringing in quite a bit of equipment so that we can get an
understanding of what and why fashion photographers use different
equipment. He'll teach us how to use professional strobe meters and
we'll get to use his fashion wind machine.
Have you ever wondered why some poses work and some don't? Gary will go over posing techniques as a part of this class too!
We'll start in the studio and move outside for an Editorial Location shoot.
