Seattle SMUG welcomes amazing and energetic photographer Levi Sim for our May 2012 SMUG meeting. Levi will be talking with us about techniques and tips for portrait posing and how to effectively interact with the client while shooting in ways that will bring out their best pose, bring out their personality, and allow you to capture that in the portrait image.
Levi and his wife, Jennifer Sim, own and operate a photography studio, SDesigns Photography, located in the historic 134 year old Thatcher-Young Mansion in the Cache Valley at Logan, Utah. He is also the volunteer leader of the Cache Valley SMUG.
Levi and Jennifer love making portraits. In fact, they say portraits "just thrill us." Levi loves looking at each person as someone with a story to tell and then trying to capture that story in an image we call a portrait.
Levi "the guy in the hat" is a dynamic photographer and instructor. You will have a blast as you listen and learn from him experience and tips.

We will warn you that Levi is crazy. He even admits it. And we quote, "I'm crazy about making better images, and I'll do my best to help you go crazy too."
Don't miss this opportunity to go crazy and to have a great time doing so.

You'll leave this evening with a deeper understanding of posing and great ideas on how to interact with your subject to make sure the photo you take is a portrait that tells that person's story.

You can learn more about Levi and see more of his work on his website at SDesigns Photography and read more about him and his photography at his several blogs.
SMUGs are free and open to everyone who loves photography.
