Creative Edge Safari: Intermediate Photography
Learn about lighting subjects in the most flattering light to achieve professional looking portraits.
In our Intermediate photography workshops, we meet at an old historic home in Roswell. For the first portion of the workshop, we will have a brief overview of shooting in Manual Mode. During this small classroom portion, we'll also explain different lighting situations, including bad lighting, and how to make it a great lighting situation.
What sets us apart from other photography workshops comes next. We go out on the grounds of this antebellum historic home and YOU do the shooting. We provide models, and help get your settings at a good starting point. We'll show you lots of different lighting-troubleshooting as well as creative techniques to get different looks. This all happens while you are doing the shooting! Three instructors are always with the group, helping students on a one-on-one base, while also instructing the class as a whole.
If that wasn't enough, we believe learning goes past the act of taking pictures. You'll send in pictures you took during the workshop, and we'll give you feedback on the images! What could have made it better technically, maybe a suggestion to get the image to look more creative, and often times, praise for taking amazing photographs!
We are people photographers, but the techniques you learn in our Introduction and Intermediate classes can be applied to all areas of photography; whether you're a sports photographer, product photographer, you love landscapes, or you just want to take better images of your children. We'll teach you how to capture timeless moments with your digital camera.
