Palmyra Photographic Workshops

Our mission is to bring you hands-on workshops, seminars and events.  Located in the beautiful Beckwith Mansion, our workshops are designed to give each student experience as well as applicable knowledge.

Class sizes are kept small enough that each student receives attention.

Our owner, D. Brent Walton, is a Certified Professional Photographer and a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographer Society of New York State (PPSNYS), Professional Photographers of California (PPC) and Greater Rochester Professional Photographers (GRPP).  Mr. Walton is on track for receiving his Craftsman Degree from PPA in 2012.

A former college instructor, Mr. Walton takes the approach that we remember best when we "see" and then "do".  On-line courses, and videos will never replace being able to interact with the instructor and other students.  His past students have always appreciated his ability to take time to explain.

The Waltons started Palmyra Photographic Workshops as a place for students and instructors.  The venue offers both indoor (including studio) and outdoor oportunities.  Using the Beckwith Mansion as a venue, students can learn and practice every style of photography.

Location: Palmyra is about a 30 minute drive from the Rochester International Airport (ROC). Located in the Fingerlake's Region of New York, it is one of the most beautiful regions of the country - Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
