Lumberyard RIP

Lumberyard RIP

If graffiti, models and fine automobiles set against the colorful artwork of the Urbanists Collective, sound like something you'd like to see in your viewfinder, check this out. Profits go towards helping the Urbanists Collective. No refunds for this event.

The venue offers about a dozen backdrops with vibrant colors and varied textures. Attendees will have the opportunity to photograph most of these murals combined with volunteer models and some cool vehicles. Check back at this site for more details (and pictures) as they become known to us. It is the last such opportunity before all of the structures and artwork are removed for future construction. You will largely be on your own to create and share with others. Several of us will be on hand to tutor, advise, coach, and direct you as needed. Some flash equipment may be available or bring your own. The gallery images are to illustrate the props and models we expect to participate. They are all volunteering as best they can so variations may occur.

Refund Policy

Your payment is non-refundable, unless the class cannot be held due to severe weather or other conditions out of the control of the instructor. Materials Needed

  • You may bring small props, camera gear or lighting equipment. If you can't walk it in, please contact us prior to the event.

Prerequisites

  • None. Although having a working camera at your disposal seems like a good idea. We are happy to help but expect people to have some working knowledge of the equipment they bring so we can focus on issues related to lighting and posing. A limited number of AC outlets will be available, but we recommend you charge your batteries at home. Lastly, a 100-foot extension cord could make your day.
