With our tour you will have unlimited access. Stand with in feet of the vehicles as they get pushed off, listen and talk with teams during tech, hang with crews in the pits. All the while photographing everything!
Speed Week Photo Tour 2018
The sights, The smells, The sound. Grab your chance to stand next to drivers and vehicles as they are pushed off down the salt. With our photo tour you will be allowed to cross the security line ! The only way you can get closer is to actually drive a vehicle. No fighting for best view, no shots with hundreds of people in your way ! Talk with the drivers and teams, Tell your photographic story.
We will meet in SLC for the drive out, which means we leave early and won’t get back until late. It will be a long hot day. Your more than welcome to meet us on the salt the day of the event if you have other travel plans.
Once again this year 2018, we have gained access thru the Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) for unlimited media access to the push off areas, tech and pit areas. Once you have your credentials your free to travel to any "safe" location on the salt. You will have access to most all secure areas the general population is not allowed.
We have shot out here many years past, it does take some knowledge to deal with the crazy white salt and all the light available. We are here to help you come home with amazing photos of some amazing vechiles.
Because of the access sensitivity of this event, there will only be 4 total spots open.

Materials Needed
DSLR
Long Lens (not required, but if you have one bring it )
Wide angle lens
Polarizer Filters and ND Filters (again not required, but helpfull controling light)
Tripods, early morning sunrise and sunsets are amazing out here.
Many CF cards as you will capture thousands of photos during the day !
Computer if you wish to review your shots.
Prerequisites
Its hot out there ! Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water. We will provide a "base camp" with a shade canopy and a cooler with ice and some water.
Food is another consideration, you can buy $12 dollar hamburgers on the salt, or take time and drive into Wendover to a restaurant or bring your own food and eat on the salt. Your call....
